Marching On...

What's News? Launched into the second half of my Masters Degree (still procrastinating on the TAFE Aboriginal culture essays though), 7 months on the job and still loving it, can do everything on the left side of the road except parallel park, joined the courtesan chorus of a community theatre production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (can't stay away from skimpy costumes, can I?), cancelled foreign film nights due to lack of interest, started voice lessons with a jazz singer, started and ended salsa and Spanish lessons, lost 10 lbs of weight, gained 3 shades of tan, kissed my Valentine on a Sydney Harbour Showboat, and am mid-plotting an Easter trip to the Whitsunday Islands...

Last weekend I went to visit Nana and we drove to Newcastle to see my great aunt Beryl (aged 95) who hadn't seen me since I was 16, and kept saying, "you can't be 26, can you?" Very sweet lady. But nearly 27, actually, hence the badly needed Easter-birthday break at the Whitsundays:) Speaking of alliteration, the poetry class I teach at The Shop is holding a reading at a cafe this Friday, and one of them is a talented visual artist who will paint live on canvas as well.

What else? Christmas and New Year's in DC and SF, spent some quality with mum, dad, Kendra, Mor and Kaiti, and had lots of fun too! Keeva and Mel threw a few big parties, Mel's birthday a "heroes and villains" costume party in which the totally unbiased birthday girl awarded Raph and I bestly costumed couple: The Goddess Demeter & Dracula. I don't want to hear about whether or not they're actually heroes or villians:P

Oh yeah: BIG SHOUT OUT FROM RAPHA TO THE ANDEL MASSIVE!!!
Love,
M
